Project Mandwa

Under Project Mandwa, VGF has made significant contributions to uplift the village of Mandwa, Kanholibra, near Nagpur, which has advantaged approximately 1000-1100 citizens of the Village including women and children. The total spending for this project amounted to Rs. 8,00,000. The funds were allocated towards various activities, including.

a) Purchase of 5HP Solar Water Pump: VGF procured a 5HP Solar Water Pump to provide access to clean and reliable water for general use in the village.
b) Payment of Overdue Electricity Dues: VGF cleared the overdue electricity dues to restart the village school, ensuring that education is not interrupted due to financial constraints.
c) Free Distribution of Bicycles: VGF distributed bicycles to deserving individuals in the village, promoting mobility and accessibility.
d) Improvement in Roads: The foundation invested in road improvements to enhance connectivity and ease of transportation within the village.
e) Canal Development: The routine problem of water overflow at the Mandwa village was permanently taken away by extending the length and width of the canal and making some necessary improvements.

In addition to these activities, VGF also focused on providing “boring” facilities in identified areas to address water supply challenges for drinking, washing, and sanitation purposes and VGF is also planning to construct Bio Toilets in the Village.
